Cruelty Free Model Portfolios

We recognise not everyone will be able to join Cruelty Free Super; for example, if you run your own Self Managed Superfund or you don’t have a Superfund but have non-Super assets to invest instead.

For this reason, we have established a range of Cruelty Free Model Portfolios which individuals can use to manage their money in a cruelty free way.

We have three core models based on the same ethical values applied to Cruelty Free Super, so you know the values are tried and tested. Our appointed Fund Managers, Grosvenor Pirie, apply their investment expertise to select the most appropriate holdings for each portfolio, having passed the chosen stocks through the ethical screening process. This s is the same rigorous process applied to our Cruelty Free Superfund.

HOW DO I ACCESS THE MODELS?

We have two simple methods to access the Models, offering investors the opportunity to access the information in a way which is relevant to how they already invest their money.

We accept that anyone looking to access one of our Models will already be managing their own investments, however our fee structure allows you to decide how much control you wish to take and where you wish to spend your time managing your money.

Option 1 - Complete Control

If you choose to decide which stocks to buy, when to buy them and, importantly, where to buy them from, then you should consider this option. For a small monthly subscription you will receive an update on which stocks our fund managers feel are most appropriately matched to the selected Model type and have passed through the ethical screen. All you need to do then is decide whether or not you wish to trade and place the appropriate order via your normal route.

Cost: $100 per month (this equates to a modest 0.48% on a $250K portfolio and only 0.24% on a $500K portfolio)

Option 2 - Partial control

This option allows you to still decide whether or not you wish to buy and sell shares based on the monthly updates from our Managers. However once you have decided you would like to trade, you instruct our managers to place the trade on your behalf. A transaction fee is charged, which covers the cost of the trade and the cost of us providing you with access to your chosen Model Portfolio. The investments decision remains yours, but our Managers execute the trade, rather than you doing it yourself.

Cost: the brokerage fee is 0.50% of the transaction amount subject to a minimum of $50 per transaction.
